Wither Effect crashed Minecraft

Does the game crash occur only when you are under/killed by the wither effect? Or the game is also crashing under different circumstances eg. killed by different mobs? 

It would be helpful if you added a video with the issue. It will help to reproduce it.

When I get the wither effect, but it happens when I kill myself (for example, I shot myself an arrow, or summoned a wither head to my side, or threw a potion) experimental features are open

If the issue still reproduces, what is your device model and OS exactly? I could not reproduce on mine. 

My phone is REDMI 9C XIAOMI 3GB RAM ANDROID 12 32GB MEMORY

Hi, yeah I’ve experienced this too. This bug is still in 1.19.51. I was testing and I learned that if I was under the wither effect, on the last health point, instead of bringing up the death screen, the game completely crashes and I reproduced this. I was also unable to rejoin the world because the game kept crashing during the ‘generating world’ screen (this I’m struggling to reproduce but it did happen).

I repeated through trial and error (I even took off all my resource packs). And finally I realised that it was just the wither effect.

Here’s how to reproduce:
1. Create a new world.
2. Set something up to inflict yourself with wither effect, either by commands, standing on a wither rose, or drinking the wither 2 potion.
3. Go in survival and wait till you get low, and tada, your game just crashed.

I’m using iOS (iPhone XS on iOS 16.2) so I cannot confirm other platforms sorry. But here’s some video evidence:

I have this issue too. Running Minecraft 1.19.51 build 12894712 on iPhone 12 Mini.

Summoned the Wither and was able to run about for a bit (a few seconds) and then the game crashed. Can't re-enter world as the entire app crashes after the Generating world/Building terrain... screen.

I've tried restarting my device.

I've also set all video settings to either off or their lowest possible settings.

Now patched for me in 1.19.60!

I've just tried with 1.19.60 too and the game did not crash when "Building world...", so this looks positive.

A user stated in the comments, that the issue does not occur for him anymore. How is the issue in your case, as you are the owner of the bug? Does the issue still occur in the newest version for you?
