Will not open...turns black then back to original screen whether its the tablet menu or the apps page in the store...been weeks now...more complaints on Amazon website reviews section.

Please uninstall all 3rd party mods and texture packs. Some users have resolved this by deleting the folder in which the game files are stored. Remember to back up your worlds first, if you do not want to lose them. Sometimes disabling all network connections and starting the game may also temporarily fix this.
Unfortunately I have no idea what this is actually telling me to do. How do I back up the world's if I cant get into the game? Where would this folder be found?

Hi Kimberly, my last response was hopeful that you had some familiarity with getting at the files on your Kindle Fire. You can keep commenting here instead of opening a new ticket.
I recommend watching this video (as an example) to see how to access the minecraft files on your Kindle Fire to back up your worlds and then delete the minecraft folder.
In your case, instead of copy the whole games folder, just copy the minecraftWorlds folder (that's where all the worlds are stored) and then delete the com.mojang folder from the kindle. Next go back to the Amazon AppStore and reinstall MCPE. See if it runs. If it does, you can then copy the MinecraftWorlds folder back into the com.mojang folder.
Using the first half of these steps you can backup your worlds as regularly as you would like.

Okay so I backed up the world's and deleted the com.mojang folder. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Now when I go to put the world's back the com.mojang folder is gone (because I deleted it) so I can't put the world's back in there.

It runs and we even created a couple new world's hoping it would create the new folder and still nothing

OK, so hooray! The game works. Big problem solved. Now we need to put the worlds back. Plug the kindle in by usb, and open it up like in the video, then search for minecraftWorlds its got to be in there. When you find it you can paste the copy you made over top of it.

Okay, I don't know what happend but it's finally all back to normal! Thank you so much, my son also wants to thank you, he is the happiest little boy ever!!
