Can you please give us an idea of how long the update will take to be placed on the server? are we talking days or hours? My PC & Xbox updated yesterday.

I bought a switch to play on whilst on holiday, along with this, I had to purchase Minecraft and a game pass to play Minecraft online and before I could test my realm the update was released. As you can imagine I'm frustrated and need to get the download and then test connectivity to my realm over mobile data before I leave this weekend. Depending on the size of the update I may not be able to get it whilst mobile. perhaps you can tell me how big the update will be?

Thanks, sorry for long rant. I spent quite a few quid to keep my brand new realm running for my subscribers whilst I'm away.

Verified. I have two players on my Realms server who play on Switch, and both report this issue. I have verified this exact issue myself though my Switch. Steps to reproduce:

Log on to Switch and manually update Minecraft
Minecraft on Switch shows version 1.19.20
Attempting to manually update again shows a message that Minecraft is already updated to the latest version
Log into Minecraft
Attempt to connect to Realms
Receive error message: Could not connect: Outdated client!

The time a update takes to release to a platform is not exact. It may vary a lot between platforms. When the update got released, the developers stated that the update would not be avaliable to all the platforms at the same time, and it could take a little longer to release on platforms like Nintendo Switch.

We need to be patient.

Going to Minecraft's page on the update, they said this: NOTE: We are aware of issues with players being unable to join cross-platform multiplayer on Nintendo Switch. The team is working on a fix and we appreciate your patience.

@Weronika Szajnfeld - When? I have just checked this issue by reproducing it on my Nintendo Switch. The issue at this moment continues to exist. Why have you marked this issue as "resolved" if any proposed fix has not yet been implemented, and the issue persists?

@unknown This was resolved as Invalid, not fixed, because it's not a bug. The update will be available for players on all platforms, releasing it on Switch will just take a bit more time.
