Global Resources don't apply to worlds, despite the global resources icon appearing at the bottom.

G'day,

I applied some packs which change the UI, specifically Vanilla Deluxe Java, in global resources but I have to apply them to each world that I want it in on top of this, but I thought global resources were, y'know, global?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new world and activate "require players to accept resource packs to join".

  2. Apply a resource pack in Global Resources.

  3. Load the aforementioned world.

  4. Notice the pack isn't applied.

What I expect to happen:

All resource packs under Global Resources are applied to all worlds indiscriminately underneath the world's resource packs, except for the default pack.

P.s. I opened this ticket without knowing the cause. Now that I know it's caused by this setting (which is rendered incorrectly by the GUI resource pack I mentioned), it looks like intended, although unintuitive, behaviour. I am seriously disappointed both by my lack of troubleshooting prior to opening the ticket, but also in the decisions made when designing Bedrock Edition.

Hi, could you attach a video or a screenshot showing the issue?

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

I can't get the file small enough. Do you mind if I upload a link to youtube instead?

You can upload the video on any shareable site (onedrive, google.docs, youtube) and past the link here in the comments or update description.

This is a non-issue btw. I'll open something on the feedback website.

Thank you for your report!

However, this issue has been temporarily closed as Awaiting Response.

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If yes, could you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter)?

Hi, I hate tickets that have 'awaiting response', so I figure I might as well reply to this. The issue has to do with the 'require resource packs to join' option, which works as intended.
