Screen reader can not be turned off

My son has minecraft on his nintendo switch. Since we downloaded it, there has been no option to turn off the screen reader. It is driving me nuts. "1 of 9....2 of 9....". I have forbade him from playing it until we can get this problem resolved. When we open the settings, the option to turn off the screen reader simply is not there.

Hi, could you attach a video or a screenshot showing the issue?

What happens when you toggle the two controls next to the "text to speech options"? Are these just not responsive when you try to change them?
What happens when you set the text-to-speech volume to 0?

Nothing happens. I cant set anything to zero. When i try to touch anything under the assessibliities tab nothing moves or changes on the toggled screen.

Hi, can you double tap the button "Text To Speech For UI" (press the button twice). The first press reads the UI element being pressed the second press changes the setting (this can also be done on the touchscreen). This should stop the double tap requirement for changing UI elements and disable the constant reading of selected options. Optionally disable "Text To Speech For Chat".

Please let us know if this solved the issue.
