Our family Minecraft game is stored on our Switch. My wife can connect by iPhone but my son is on Xbox series X and I am on Xbox One and we both get never ending Locating Sever. Our connection is fine and we have both deleted and re installed the game so the issue is at your end.
The Switch host version shows that we have connected to the game but our Xboxes just say Locating Server.

You’ve marked this as resolved linked to an issue from months ago, but our issue only happened after the recent update, it worked fine beforehand so suggests it is the update and not a long-standing issue. Also, the “workarounds” are confusing and shouldn’t be necessary to just play a straightforward game. I think you have linked this to an entirely unrelated issue which BTW also does not seem to have been fixed.

I don’t understand why you keep saying this is dealt with by another thread that doesn’t fix or deal with the issue at all. This only happened after the recent update, it’s not related. Even if it was, the thread you keep pointing me towards is useless. Are you fixing this or just hoping people go away?

@Schofo They mark these as duplicate so it doesnt clutter the site with duplicate posts. If the teams tracking the issue on another post then they are likely looking into it and are trying to fix it.

Given that the other post is from months ago and nothing to do with the recent update, it feels more likely that they just want me to be quiet/go away.Â
