Ok so apparently something in the fishing mechanics seems broken because while I am getting some treasure from fishing I'm also having moments where I get a bite, pull in my rod, and nothing happens. No items, no loot, not sure if the durability goes down but this seems to be a bug and it's really starting to annoy me. This has been going on for the past 2 hours or so.
