Minecraft was slow to load before 1.19 on XBox, but now with 1.19 it is even slower. The initial red Mojang splash screen takes a minute, then the screen goes blank for a minute or two, then it goes to the screen with the progress bar which takes a few minutes (sits at 42 and 50% for quite a while). Then finally it gets to the main menu which is laggy for a few moments and then all good. Far more graphically intensive games take way less time to boot up on our XBox.
My son is a prolific 'new world' creator so we have possibly hundreds of new, small worlds. I'm not sure if this could be a factor – loading a long list of worlds on startup? We seriously start the Minecraft app then walk away for a bit because it doesn't make sense to sit around while it loads.
It feels a bit silly given that PC takes so little time to start up. There must be a way to improve this.
