When i walk forward its a normal speed but when stepping back its super slow. I would assume they would have the same speed. When stepping back away from a creeper i move so slow that the creeper blows up and the blast hits me. When watching bedrock youtubers their speed going backwards appears to be similar to their forward speed.

As asked in previous comment, did you check the speed with other games? It is possible that the problem here is with your joystick and not the game.Β
