When a minecart is on a powered rail, and the rail is pushed by a sticky piston, the minecart is also pushed.
When the sticky piston is retracted, the minecart should be pulled back, on top of the rail.
This isn't happening; the minecart is moved slightly, but left behind.
I'm on PS4, latest version. Single player survival world.

When did this change? Unless I'm thinking of something completely different, this has always been a commonly used things for MANY farm kinds of things.
Poppy, that isn't very constructive.
Katlee - this is why I reported it as a bug. I've been using this exact method to convert villagers since late 1.16.
I don't remember there being any change in a change log, even a bug fix that changed it.
Could a mod let us know when this changed please?
Thank you.
I, too, have been relying on this behavior and am disappointed to see it no longer works. In my case the use case is a pumpkin farm, in which rails are moved through a row of pumpkins by a flying machine, with hopper minecarts on them to collect the pumpkins as they're broken.
I believe this new behavior creates a disparity with Java Edition, as this style of farm is common for high-yield pumpkin farms on Java.
Thank you for your report!
