When I go to open Minecraft pocket edition all you see is a black screen. Then a box pops up saying unfortunately, Minecraft pocket edition has stopped working. I have tried Uninstaller the game. Re installing it again. I cleared the cache. I have restarted the device. I have made sure my device it up to date on updates. I have cleared the files on my device. The problem is still not fixed.

Please check the com.mojang folder and remove or rename the resource_packs folder. If that doesn't fix the problem, please comment on MCPE-16647 with information about your device make and model, Android OS version, whether or not you have removed all 3rd party applications and mods and the texture packs. Whether or not you have uninstalled, removed the com.mojang folder and reinstalled (don't forget to backup your worlds first!). The more information, the better.
