After I have a banner equipped in my chestplate slot, it sometimes appears glitched, like it has a stick extended through it going above the banner or some black stuff appears.

Initially your bug report was about muted firework rockets. As the reason for it was the ambient slider set to 0, and now its fixed for you, I am closing this ticket as cannot reproduce.
Please, do not rewrite the description of your initial bug report and change it to something else. You are welcome to create a new ticket on the 'banner' bug, as this is a separate issue, and should be in its own ticket.
Are all of your sound bars in Settings > Audio set to 100?
