Fire damage doesn't stack when standing on fire/lava for long periods of time

Summary

When standing on fire or lava for long periods of time and exiting the fire/lava source the fireticks doesn't stack like on Java Edition and the fire gets extinguished away too quickly than it should

Steps to Reproduce

  • Create or Load into a world

  • Place a lava or fire sounce on the floor

  • use the command:

/effect @p regeneration 1000 4 true
  • Stand in one of the lava sources for about 20 seconds

  • Leave the source after the 20 seconds

  • Do the same test on Java Edition

Observed Results

After the 20 seconds leaving the fire source your continuously taking fire damage for a few seconds and it quickly gets extinguished

Expected Results

After the 20 seconds leaving the fire source your are continuously taking fire damage for more than just a few seconds for being exposed to the sources for a long time just like on Java Edition
