To reproduce/Observed results:
Slowly reducing your tapping speed shows that it will only craft when tapping slowly
Expected results:
Try quickly tapping things in the stone cutter,
it still gives you an item for every tap no matter the speed, as it should

in this video you can see 1 item crafted from the first tap initiating tapping quickly
than nothing as I continue tapping quickly
than more items start being crafted as I ramp down in speed enough for them to be successfully crafted

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
