When teleporting entities, the game will visually glide the entity from its initial position to its final position.
How to reproduce:
1. Create and enter a world. (For simplicity, I opened a flat world, turning off mob spawns for control and enabling cheats.)
2. Spawn an entity of your choosing. (In my case, a cow.)
3. Run the following command: "/tp @e[type=<entity>] @s". (For me, the entity is a cow.)
4. Results should show entity visually gliding toward you, in the same way as in the video attached.
Submitter's note:
I recall reading one of the changelogs marking this bug as 'fixed' in the past but I'm unable to relocate it. I'm also unable to track down the original bug report- even after using filters. But then again, it could just be that I'm just not having any luck finding it. One more thing: I'm making the assumption that this is just a visual bug as I'm not skilled enough to test if the game is actually gliding the entity over to their destination.

I'm not a Minecraft developer, but it's most likely intentional to make the game visually appealing when mobs are being snapped to a new position.
