I killed a wither then it dropped a nether star. I created a full beacon and even before I put a bit of iron the beacon was emmiting a black shadow into the sky. When I looked up at it, the beam dissappeared because the beacon was not in view.

The new MCPE 0.16.0 beacon has a black shadowy beacon beam, and if you arent looking at the beacon this beam dissappears.
