When Microsoft introduced the new Xbox gamertags in 2019 it was said that this would allow players to get their desired name even if it's already taken and that the suffixes added will be "subtle so that the focus is on the name" and hidden where they are not needed. Now, years later, Bedrock players are still running around with their legacy names where the numbers are just appended to the name without any distinction. That should change.
