Randomly while playing, the terrain goes blank for a second or so, flashes a purple & black with outlines of the terrain/area, and then it normally goes back to normal. In some cases, the game has to be restarted for everything to look normal again.
Have not been able to recreate it purposely, it does not matter how many people are playing or where you are.

I also am having this bug pop up in my nintendo switch version since the new update. Exactly the same. I've experienced it three times in my game.

I've had this happen several times. During each occurrence, I would be immobile during the first (blank terrain) phase, then regain movement during the second (purple & black) phase. After the second phase the terrain would appear normal again but I'd be completely invisible - including equipped armor and off-hand item - in third-person view. In first-person, the main hand and equipped item was invisible, but other hotbar items visible. I have waited up to five minutes with no change, eventually saved and exited each time. Returned to normal after logging on again. (Nintendo Switch)
