Yesterday I was making an iron farm and needed 20 villagers for every village. On my second village, I had 19 out of the 20 villagers and it worked fine, until I transported it. I put his work station down but he just stayed a normal villager although when I put the work station outside his pod, he instantly linked to it.
I tried logging out, different work benches and even other villagers.
