Double taping to do anything instead of one tap on Android 13

Taping once only selects the button or item I want to click, taping twice will do the actual work of a 1 click.
This affects every part of Minecraft except the touch controls (moving, placing and breaking, jumping and sneaking work as intended)

Steps to Reproduce:
Step 1: Open Minecraft
Step 2: Click on any button on the main menu, worlds menu, in-game menus and inventories

Observed Results:
You will need to tap twice to perform a task that requires one click

Expected Results:
Tap once to perform a task that requires one click

Notes:

1. This bug makes it so it's not possible to put anything in the off-hand (video 2)

2. This bug also makes the Recipe book won't let me choose (click) on any recipe
