Sniffers no longer find seeds

Sniffers no longer find seeds. I had a perfectly operational sniffer farm that produced hundreds of seeds previously. It stopped working completely, the sniffers no longer find seeds. The sniffers in the farm lost their collision boxes (they would no longer move when bumped) as well. They could still breed and the offspring did have the proper collision boxes. I replaced the grass in the farm floor with moss- same result.
I went to creative and got a stack of sniffer eggs, put them on moss, allowed them to mature. They are in a large grass area with some moss here and there, free range. None of the sniffers find seeds, although all of their collision boxes are correct.
I know there’s really two issues here, main one is that sniffers don’t find or attempt to find seeds.
