No one can see what I chat

Only I can see anything I type in chat. I've checked Minecraft chat settings, Xbox communication settings, and nothing with either should prevent others from seeing my chat. This happens in any world I join. I've also tried using /me and no one besides me can see that as well. I've checked the bug tracker as well as looked up solutions and I can't find anything matching what's happening to me. This started out of the blue earlier today when I launched a world and invited 2 friends, and even restarting the game has not resolved it. I can still see anything someone else typed in chat, but anything I send is invisible to them.
