Dear Mojang Team,
I have a weird bug, where I respawned the Enderdragon (on a realm) with a friend, who then died to an enderman. I wanted to wait for him with the fight, so I tried to go through the end gateway to stall the fight until he came back. But I struggled because I am relatively new to keyboard and mouse. I kept missing the gateway, until the dragon came up from the fountain/portal into my direction, which made him fly right into the gateway. I then waited for my friend and we searched for the dragon, but it was nowhere to be found. Now when we got to the end, we need to have an enderchest that we put everything into, so we can jump into the void and get back home with our stuff. I attached a video clip (sorry for the bad quality, I had to crop it smaller which made it bad but you can still see everything).
Edit: This happened before the 1.21 update.

ok, so I did some experimenting, and have bad news. it seems that when the dragon flew through the gate, it despawned and there is no way to revive it. because the game never counts it as dead, this means that the world that this happened in cannot have the portal relit, and you can never respawn the dragon.
I believe though, that to prevent this from happening again, don’t go through the portal. after a thew minutes it will fly back. it seems that going through the portal is what deletes it.
