i like playing my creative world with my friends where we build stuff like spleef arenas and whatnot. but whenever i have to check some thing on any other window, and the minecraft window gets minimised, it says "cannot connect to host" as an error message and they get kicked from the world

The same effect can be replicated if you "pause" the game and bring your cursor over to another window that's on a second monitor. It seems like entering a new window entirely just reloads the world and promptly kicks everyone out.
