Transparent objects like water render as solid materials on Samsung Xclipse GPU devices

Mine is 1.21.30.22, also on Samsung Galaxy A55, happens a week ago, water, glass block, lava, are all rendered as black blocks. Water is semj-transparent but glass become opaque blocks.

Rails are strange opaque colours like white, pink, brown etc.

Confirmed. This bug appears to occur only on devices equipped with the Samsung Xclipse GPU. Since the Samsung Xclipse GPU is relatively new, the APs equipped with this GPU are Exynos 2200, Exynos 2400, and Exynos 1480, totaling three. The list of all devices affected by this is as follows:

• Galaxy S22 with Exynos 2200 (SM-S901B) - Xclipse 920

• Galaxy S22 Plus with Exynos 2200 (SM-S906B) - Xclipse 920

• Galaxy S22 Ultra with Exynos 2200 (SM-S908B) - Xclipse 920

• Galaxy S23 FE with Exynos 2200 (SM-S711B, SM-S711E, SM-S711N) - Xclipse 920

• Galaxy S24 with Exynos 2400 (SM-S921B, SM-S921E, SM-S921N) - Xclipse 940

• Galaxy S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 (SM-S926B, SM-S926E, SM-S926N) - Xclipse 940

• Galaxy A55 5G with Exynos 1480 (All Models) - Xclipse 530

Samsung devices are released with either Exynos or Snapdragon depending on the region. Therefore, except for the Galaxy A55 5G, which is equipped with Exynos 1480 in all regions, only devices with the specific model numbers mentioned above are affected.

Now after update, the glass become more transparent but still look very dark. (1.21.40.20)

They still haven't fixed this. I find it very unpleasant that errors are reported and now there have been 2 updates and it's still the same

It does happen without any resource pack enabled.

Started after installing 1.21.30 for me.

Almost unplayable.

As an attempt to fix, I updated to Beta 1.21.40 – just as bad.

So what can I do to get it back to normal? I've had this game a couple years with Samsung, my phone now is a an S24 & I've had it 6 months. I miss playing my game 😞

I found a way to see the water a little bit more clear but still dark, a more clear water texture pack

I spent loads of time building different worlds, hours & hours of stuff. I also deleted everything, uninstalled the game etc to try fix it. I lost EVERYTHING..Done any updates my phone had & still nothing... I can't play like this 😞

This Bug need an Urgent fix on 1.21.40 or 1.21.30 Hotfix update because it is affecting our gameplay really bad. 

Just to add note. Grate copper is also got black. It was rainbow in the beginning then it all turn black

It appears to me that transparent objects lit by the world are black. On other light sources, they appear different colors and even have weird pattern on water. (The multicolored blocks are clear glass)

I have a Samsung S24+ and the game worked perfectly until Samsungs most recent update. So I am guessing it is to do with that. Going to try and uninstall then last update and see if that makes a difference.

Sadly, you CANNOT uninstall a system update so my advice for now is if you have not installed it, don't until a fix has been found

I also saw that besides the blacked out blocks, water in some places has really interesting textures.

It seems to be that the texture file isn't loading properly so it loads all the games textures as the texture so in a few places you can see the fire texture on water or the redstone lamp
