Item refuse to move from a specific place in inventory

On a few occasions a item stack would just not move from a specific inventory space when trying to place things in chest when i would try to click on item stack after a split second of being picked up out of the slot it quickly returned back into its original slot in my inventory and continued to return to its original slot after multiple tries
