In worlds created prior to 1.17.40 (as of my testing) and or updated to the Non-Preview (1.21.30 currently) changes parts of the Nether Biomes to an Overworld Biome (most likely Ocean) upon reloading for a second time wiping out the Nether Biome data in some chunks.
Steps to reproduce:
Import the provided test world into 1.21.40.23 Preview and load
Observe the Nether Biomes are expected
[media]Enter the portal and come back or Exit the world and rejoin it
The Nether Biomes switched to an Overworld Biome and the fog is gone

The Overworld and End dimensions are also affected by this issue.

This is somehow related to world with custom biomes enabled. I enabled it without knowing what kind of feature was that back in 2020 (prob around nether update 1.16.100). Mine had one and now wipes off biome data every time I reload my world ever since I upgraded to version 1.21.40.x.
I am stuck playing with v1.21.30.x for stability.
Edit: It also appears to be an intentional world-breaking feature. I hope this will be reverted as it destroyed my world biomes.
