Sudden Lag

My storage room in my world has had hundreds of chests in it for almost a year and not once have I ever experienced any lag in or near that area, after the 1.21.50 update  that area now has really bad lag and its so annoying to do anything there, even after removing some chests and hoppers the area still has lag.
