I have noticed on mobile devices, in PvP games (I currently play on Lifeboat), I seem unable to attack my opponents though I am at a range where they can hit me.
According to my observations, someone playing on a PC will be able to hit me at a distance where I will be too far away to hit back. This contributes to me losing melee engagements in PvP.
I play with a friend. We always play on our mobile devices. We are aware that most other players play on PC's. From this I would assume that there is a difference to the "reach" a player has when attempting to attack something, related to whether the player is on a mobile device or a PC.
I have also observed that when playing survival mode, I am almost never able to hit a zombie before it hits me. This indicates that the players' "attack reach" is shorter than intended when playing bedrock on mobile devices.
The absence of an auto-clicker feature (similar to a PC player holding down the left mouse key) further accentues the gap in performance between mobile and PC players.
To reproduce in survival:
Start a survival game. Wait for nightfall. Engage a zombie. Hit it at your earliest opportunity.
Expected result: I hit the zombie before it is able to hit me.
Observed result: I am hit by the zombie first, only when the zombie is in cooldown between attacks will I be able to hit it back.
To reproduce in PvP:
Start a bedwars game in Lifeboat. Engage an opposing player. Hit at your earliest opportunity (Keep touching screen at small intervals in order to hit your opponent as fast and early as possible).
Expected result: On average, you hit your opponent first in half of your encounters.
Observed result: Opponent will always hit first, and at a range where you are unable to hit back.
