When I try to connect the 4th player in the games, I always get the message: You’re restricted from using communication features.
I’ve authorized everything in PlayStation accounts and in Microsoft/Xbox account. (In ps account if I unauthorized the communication, when I get the error message, I can ask for the manager to authorize the games. I try it and I see minecraft in the authorization and it still not work). And I get the message with every kind of account I creating.
I try to do the unshared and share of my PlayStation 5 pro.
I try to redo the license for the Minecraft ps5 version.
I try with a new seed.
I try with a game on the realms server.
I finally have the idea to try with the PS4 version and surprise I was able to play 4 players in split screen but in a local world. If I try it in my realms world when I pop the 4th player, the games crashed completely.
So I speak with PlayStation, they have no solution (they think to replace my ps5pro) but I know its not the issue.
I speak with Minecraft teams and they have no clue and redirect me here.
So I hope someone can have a clue because I’m out of it ...

I also have this exact same issue and also doesn't matter what order I have the players, always happens to either the 3rd or 4th player.
We definitely played 4 players together on the PS4 version many times, this only started happening as soon as I upgraded to the PS5 version.
Hello and thank you for your report!
Is this issue in the latest version and/or preview?
This would help us know more about the issue!
Thank you for your response!
Could you test the preview version of minecraft to see if the issue is there?
This would be helpful!
Hi, i have a little time for testing this week end, the issue to play 4 coop splitscreen work with a non-realm server. When i try on my realms server i cant launch any more player at all … My realm expire in 1 days. I need to try it with the preview version. But to resume the 4 player splitscreen work if the games is not on realms, when my game is launch on realms any splitscreen player can join at all, it make like the second player will join but nothing happen ….
I am also experiencing this issue. For me, the following is true:
This error can happen with the 3rd player or 4th player. I have yet to experience this with the 1st or 2nd player.
To test, I changed the order in which I added players and it does not follow the account. A - B - C - D, player D gets the error. A - D- C - B, Player B gets the error.
All accounts in the PS5 are "Adult" accounts and there are no communications restrictions on any of them.
The "Send Request" does nothing - I get no message or alert on any of my PSN accounts.
Similarly, I tried some other Internet suggestions as OP mentioned - turning off Console sharing and restoring licenses, this did not resolve the issue.
This was the first time we tried 4 player on the PS5 version of the game. I have not tried the PS4 version of the game.
