Eroded Badlands & Wooded Badlands do not play "music.overworld.mesa" since it was introduced in version 1.20.

The music "music.overworld.mesa" is supposed to play for all Badlands biomes, but it only plays in the Badlands (mesa) biome. The music "music.overworld.mesa" is not played in the Eroded Badlands (mesa_bryce) & Wooded Badlands (mesa_plateau_stone) biomes, instead, these biomes play "music.game."

Another fact is that "music.overworld.mesa" is actually played in the "mesa_plateau" & "mesa_plateau_mutated" biomes, which can no longer be generated since version 1.18.

I observed whether the music was indeed not played in the Eroded Badlands (mesa_bryce) & Wooded Badlands (mesa_plateau_stone) biomes by using a world with the world type "Single Biome" (which can be accessed using an external map editor and set to the appropriate biome), and it is true that the Eroded Badlands (mesa_bryce) & Wooded Badlands (mesa_plateau_stone) do not play the music "music.overworld.mesa". I also checked the unused biomes since version 1.18, and  "mesa_plateau" & "mesa_plateau_mutated" biomes do play "music.overworld.mesa".

The reason this happens is that in the file music_definition.json, the biomes listed to play "music.overworld.mesa" is "mesa," "mesa_plateau," and "mesa_plateau_mutated", while "mesa_bryce" and "mesa_plateau_stone" are not included in the music_definition.json file, even though these biomes should be listed because they are accessible in the latest version.

To confirm which Badlands biomes are used in normal gameplay, I used the command "/locate biome" in a world with the world type "Infinite." Among all existing Badlands biomes, "mesa", "mesa_bryce", and "mesa_plateau_stone" can be found, while "mesa_plateau" "mesa_plateau_mutated", and "mesa_plateau_stone_mutated" cannot be found and generate warnings.

I also used a resource pack to change "music.game" to play files from music credits.
