On our bedrock realm, hostile mobs spawn normally in most circumstances. However, when underground in the overworld, practically no hostile mobs spawn other than slimes. There have been rare instances where one or two mobs will spawn, but it is very common to go on an over 30-minute caving session and see no mobs at all.
