This bug doesn't seem to happen often, i've only had it happen only 2 times in just today alone, never had it happen any other time up until now. The first item that disappeared from my inventory was an enchanted bow with power V, infinity, and unbreaking III, and the other item was an enchanted shield with unbreaking III and mending several hours later after my bow disappeared, and i always kept them in my inventory. I don't know if it's the unbreaking III enchantment as i have other items like my sword, pickaxe, and shovel but they never disappeared. I don't know if it is also happening in worlds that are not realms.
UPDATE: Okay so i did manage to find my bow, i just wasn't very observant, but as my shield, I told my friend about it disappearing and he's been experiencing the same thing, apparently whatever is in your off-hand will disappear from existence whenever you leave the game.
