Summary:
When a world has a high Days Played count, the breathing animation for held items is not smooth. The higher the count, the less smooth the animation becomes. This issue does not occur in 1.21.61.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new world with the Show Days Played game rule enabled
Place a repeating command block
Type /time set day in the command block
Activate the command block
Wait until the Days Played count goes over 1000 days
Deactivate the command block
Hold an item
Observed Results:
The item’s breathing animation is choppy and not smooth.
Expected Results:
The number of days that have passed in a world should have no effect on the breathing animation for items.
