Severe rubber banding on solo world

I’ve been getting serious lag and rubber banding on an essentially new world that is not multiplayer. This causes me to teleport back to places I’ve been seconds before and can also destroy blocks as if I haven’t placed them. This is seriously effecting my enjoyment on my world as the lag is incredibly aggravating especially when fighting mobs.
