Summary of the Issue:
Upon launching Minecraft and navigating to the world selection screen, several UI icons appear as blank white squares instead of their intended graphics. This issue affects key interface elements related to managing and navigating through worlds, making the experience visually incomplete and potentially confusing.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open Minecraft (both Preview and Release versions).
From the main menu, click “Play” to open the world selection screen.
Observe the icons on the left and right side of the world list.
Observed Behavior:
Several graphical interface elements are displayed as plain white squares rather than their normal icons. These include:
The two buttons in the top-left corner:
The LAN toggle (for showing/hiding LAN worlds).
The view switcher (for toggling between list and grid views).
The Edit icon to the right of each listed world.
In some cases, additional UI icons in this menu may also be affected.
These buttons still work functionally when clicked, but visually show no identifiable purpose without hovering tooltips or prior knowledge.
Expected Behavior:
All UI icons should load and render their correct graphics, such as the pencil icon for “Edit,” grid/list icons for view modes, and proper icons for toggling LAN visibility. The interface should be clean and visually informative without relying on guesswork or tooltips.
Platforms Affected:
Android 15 (latest preview and stable OS builds)
iOS 18 (confirmed on both release and test versions)
Windows 11 (confirmed on Minecraft Bedrock Preview and Release)
Minecraft Versions Affected:
Minecraft Preview (latest version as of reporting)
Minecraft Bedrock Release (mainline version)
Impact on Usability:
This is a visual/UI rendering bug that does not impact gameplay directly but reduces the accessibility and polish of the interface. New players or those with visual memory challenges may struggle to interpret these buttons. For more experienced users, it creates a distracting and incomplete presentation.
