Hot and cold variants of animals not spawning in appropriate biomes.

Can’t seem to get all of the new animal varieties to spawn in their appropriate biomes. Spawn eggs used in hot and cold biomes continue to spawn temperate animals only. New variant chicken eggs that are thrown do not spawn the appropriate hot or cold variant only temperate.
