with the new update, there is lag so bad that I will be walking and can go as much as 30 block before it teleports me back. Lag has also caused blocks to go missing on breaking not show back up even when lag stops

Having the same issue. Syrup mining in the nether, it lags and maybe 4 to 20 blocks disappear before you hear them break, the. You get teleported back. Some of the blocks are not actually broken and are invisible. You bounce off their location when trying to move through them. Sometimes they reappear, but mostly after restarting the game. 100 MB save file that varies in size up to 150 when I keep having to save and restart. Happens a few times per minute, so I have to stop playing until it is fixed due to frustration.
