Villagers disapearing on Realms

Villagers put in a 1x1 hole seem to de spawn even after being traded with. From trial and error it seems to only happen to villagers without their job block next to them, and it potentially happens to every type of job. The villagers are in the village itself so it isn’t a matter of location, and other villagers with their job block are still there (for now). Villagers in mine carts with their job block next to them also disappear. Playing on a realm and the location almost always is loaded in as well.
