Nether Glitch

I have been experiencing a glitch in the nether the last few days. The screen will freeze and bounce me back into position about 10 blocks where I previously was. It also has a glitch when placing blocks. Usually I am able to tell if the glitch is happening by the blocks not making sound. Has caused me to die multiple times over lava because recently placed blocks disappear and go back to inventory. The issues seem to be connected. Usually when placing blocks and moving forward will reset position back to a previous position.
