Visuals Vibrant not working on GTX 1050 with full DirectX 12 support

I’m using the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock Preview and would like to report a possible compatibility issue with the new “Visuals Vibrant” graphics setting.

My system uses an NVIDIA GTX 1050, which supports:

  • DirectX 12 (feature level 12_1)

  • Confirmed via dxdiag

According to the official Mojang documentation and announcements (including Minecraft Live), the only requirement for enabling Visuals Vibrant is having DirectX 12 support.
However, the effect remains unavailable on my system, despite meeting this requirement.

Your screenshot shows that the game is running on your integrated graphics card, not your dedicated graphics card. You will need to change which graphics card the game uses. To do so:

  1. Close Minecraft Preview

  2. Launch the Settings app

  3. Browse to System > Display > (scroll down) > Graphics

  4. Click the Minecraft Preview app in the list and press Options

  5. Choose "High performance" and press "Save"

If the Minecraft Preview app doesn't appear in the list, you will need to add it yourself.
