Extreme lag and rubberbanding for player who joins world

Friend and I are both playing on Nintendo Switch. I started a world and when they join they experience really choppy lagging and rubber banding. Restarted, deleted, started new world, both on strong internet in the same room. Happens every time for whoever joins.
