Can't craft a beacon in creative or survival mode.

I am running version 1.101 of Minecraft Pocket Edition on my HTC Adreno (HTCD160LVWPP, Adreno (TM) 304 with Android 6.0.1.

I have tested out making the Beacon in Creative mode and then switched over to Survival mode peaceful. I collected all of the ingredients for the crafting recipe in creative mode first. Then tried to craft the Beacon. It wouldn't let me. I then saved the game and quit. I then switched the game mode from Creative to Survival and reloaded the game to see if that fixed the problem. It didn't work. Please look into this bug . Thank you.

Edit: this is in MCPE crafting not the one where you manually place the blocks.
