Cannot See the off-hand in entity or other players

I typed /replaceitem entity @e[type=husk] 1 slot.weapon.offhand and it worked but i checked it and its like nothing , i cant see it and i tried to kill it it worked the husk revived but the problem is i cant see i and my friend joined me and we equiped the totem and he and i see nothing in the offhand
