PVP is extremely broken

In worlds or realms, when u try combo chaining somebody its almost as if something is infront of u blocking u from comboing. This has been ongoing for 2 months, minecraft said it was fixed but it hasnt.

Steps:
Have an entity infront of u (mob or player does not matter)

Attempt to combo
you will notice that there is something blocking u from comboing.
this is a ongoing problem and needs to be fixed immediately or u will lose lots of players. FIX IT.
