Camera perspective button causes freezing in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.70 (Android)

When playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Android (1.21.70+), the game freezes for 2–5 seconds whenever I press the camera perspective button. This is especially disruptive in PvP, where I use the button to check behind me. The issue started around version 1.21.60, but became much worse in 1.21.70+.

I don't use any resource packs, and my render distance is set to 5 chunks. The freezing happens in all worlds, even new ones. My phone has plenty of free space and I’ve tried restarting and clearing cache with no success.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.70+ on Android.

2. Enter a world (any mode).

3. Press the camera perspective button.

4. Game freezes for 2–5 seconds.

Expected Result:

Game should switch camera instantly with no freeze.

Actual Result:

Game freezes briefly, which makes PvP and survival gameplay very difficult.
