Particle Commands Not Displaying After "Request to Create" Message

Dear Mojang Team,

I am reporting a persistent issue with particle commands in Minecraft Bedrock. Regardless of the version (tested on both the latest official release and a recent beta version 1.21.80.25), when using the /particle command, the game consistently outputs the message "Request to Create [particle name] sent to all players," but the particles themselves are not displayed on screen.

This issue occurs both when executing the command directly in the chat and when using command blocks set to "Repeat" and "Always Active."

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • Verified Particle Settings: Ensured that the "Particle Quality" setting in the video options is set to "Maximum."

  • Checked Render Distance: Tested with various render distances.

  • Disabled Resource and Behavior Packs: Completely disabled all custom resource and behavior packs (both globally and within specific worlds) to rule out interference.

  • Tested Basic Particle Commands: Tried simple particle commands like /particle minecraft:smoke ~ ~ ~ and /particle minecraft:water_drop ~ ~ ~. The "Request to Create" message appears, but no particles are visible.

  • Tested Different Command Syntax: Used both relative (~ ~ ~) and absolute coordinates.

  • Checked Command Block Configuration: Confirmed that command blocks are set to "Repeat" and "Always Active."

  • Observed Unexpected Syntax Errors: In some instances, the command input resulted in unexpected syntax errors containing fragments like "inesperado em me" or "inesperado em oke," suggesting potential issues with text input interpretation.

  • Tested in a New World: The issue persists in newly created worlds as well as existing ones.

  • (User's Note): I have also tried restarting the game multiple times.

The consistent "Request to Create" message without any visible particles indicates that the command is being processed to some extent, but the rendering of the particles is failing. The unusual syntax errors further suggest a potential underlying problem with command interpretation or input.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate this issue. Particle effects are an important part of the Minecraft experience, and this bug significantly impacts visual feedback and gameplay.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

The main objective of all this testing was to reproduce the fog effects of the Soul Sand Valley biome in a specific location within the Overworld using the /particle command that we've been trying to get working.

Here are the two /particle commands we tested:

  • Simple (for basic testing): /particle minecraft:soul_sand_dust ~ ~ ~

  • With a specific location and area (attempting to reproduce the fog effect): /particle minecraft:soul_sand_dust 18 ~ 5 5 5 5 0.1 20 force"
