Trial Explorer map misleading

I was on realms trying to find a trial chambers using the map obtained from the cartographer, until I found that it took me to nothing.

I then opened a backup to see if I was even close, but founded nothing except geodes, ancient cities, mineshafts and monster spawners.

There is a ancient city nearby, though this (from what I’ve seen) shouldn’t impact it on generating.

This is also on top of a mountainous area.
