Can’t move or do anything after getting hit by skeleton and auto closing the chest

If looking in a chest and a skeleton hits you ( so far, don’t know if it is with other mobs as well) and it automatically closes the chest on you, you can’t move or use any controls. Sometimes some controls work while others are disabled. The only work around to this right now is to take out the batteries from the controller, put them back in and turn on the controller.
