Clouds & Sky still dark after rain disperses

Steps to reproduce the result:

Noticed that after logging on to multiple worlds and servers during rain/thunder, after sleeping dark clouds and sky do not return to normal

After setting weather to storm and sleeping in creative, sky and clouds return to normal.

Sleeping through the night does not reset the effect.

After waiting through storms and rain, when naturally dispersed the sky and clouds remain dark.

Happened in Mangrove biome, flower meadows biome, jungle biome and plains biome- I have not tested the other biomes.

Also noticed sun having yellow ring around as if it were setting during its entire cycle while sky and clouds were dark.

Expected Result:

Weather returns to normal, clouds return to light grey/white and sky loses the dark upper half effect

Actual Result:

After rain/thunder disperses, clouds and sky remain dark. (Clouds retain dark grey colouring and sky retains darkened upper half)

Sidenotes:

Screenshots were taken in a plains/flower meadow biome, neither with rain but one with glitch and one without
